"Re: the 'spring' bike rack designed by Sadik (the Boa)
Several members of the UBC Cycling Club went to look at the bike rack outside the Ponderosa Building. We liked the design very much. The most important aspect of bike rack design for owners of expensive bicycles is the ability to lock both wheels (with the front wheel off) and the frame to the rack with a U-Bolt lock. With a mountain bike this is always tricky because of wheel width, but the rack in question allows this. The loops are also wide enough apart to make locking up easy. Apart from that, we found the design to be aesthetically appealing, especially compared to other racks that are available. All in all, we are pleased with the design, and would like to see more of them around."
